BH Transportation can help you with all of your freight movement needs. We manage all different types of loads, including specialty loads and trailers. Some of the specialty loads we handle include:
Time Sensitive Loads
We know that there are occasions when your freight needs to arrive at a specific time. When you have a time-sensitive load, we will make sure that a team of drivers is used for the load so the freight can keep moving 24/7 without violating state, federal, or DOT laws.
Haz-Mat Loads
We have the ability to move any type of hazardous material. Not only do we have the right types of trailers to move Haz-Mat loads, but we also have skilled and experienced drivers who know how to move these loads safely.
High-Value Loads
There are times when the value of a shipment exceeds normal standards. When you have a high-value load, we can make sure that extra precautions are taken to move your shipment to its final destination. This can include additional security on the trailer, check-in points for the driver, or even additional security in the form of an escort.
Less Than Truck Load (LTL)
If you have a shipment that is considered LTL, we can make arrangements for you. We can either arrange a smaller truck to deliver your goods (pup trailer), or we can work with other LTL shipments to try to combine shipping and reduce costs for all parties involved.
LTL shipments may require a little extra time to deliver if you are sharing the load.
Conestoga Trailers
Conestoga trailers are a unique type of trailer system. Built very similar to a dry van, the sides and roof of these trucks are made from a heavy tarp material so that the sides and roof can be moved for packing. They are pushed back accordion style.
Conestoga trailers are great for loads that need the physical protection of a dry van but require the loading needs of a flatbed. These trucks are not as common as other trailers on the road, but BH Transportation can make arrangements for your shipment to move by this type of trailer.
Specialty Loads – Others
There are other types of specialty loads that you may need to ship. This may include oversized loads that require special flatbed trailers and permitting, loads that require escorts, or loads that require special handling. BH Transportation is able to make all of these arrangements for you and manage your specialty load.
